But building a free tool wasn't enough. We recognized that digital files represent confidential data. Contracts, employee offer letters, lease applications, and tax forms contain deeply sensitive information. That's why we made a core engineering commitment: 100% Client-Side Processing.

The SignEase Story
Founded in 2026 by a collective of open-source advocates and security engineers, SignEase was built to resolve a common frustration. Most online PDF signature tools enforce arbitrary monthly limits, demand credit card registrations, or store your documents on insecure third-party servers. We decided to create a product that runs entirely client-side, using advanced web technologies like `pdf-lib` and `pdf.js` to process PDFs directly in the browser. This eliminates database server hacks, files being held hostage, and compliance worries.

We believe that standard business operations shouldn't be gated behind subscription plans.
