Unlike conventional cloud-based eSignature tools, SignEase processes all document inputs entirely client-side. This means your PDF documents, coordinates, drawn signatures, and typed name inputs remain inside your local browser memory and are never uploaded, sent, or stored on our servers.
2. How We Handle Your PDF Documents
When you select and load a PDF document inside SignEase:
- The file is read by your browser using the local JavaScript FileReader API.
- All canvas drawing, resizing, and coordinate operations are executed by local scripts using PDF.js and pdf-lib.
- We do not host or operate file-processing web servers. No document transfer takes place over the network.
- When you download the finalized PDF, the output is flattened directly in browser memory and written as a local file download.
3. Data Collection and Usage
Because we do not run user registrations, account management systems, or database backends, we do not collect personal identifiers such as name, street address, document data, or phone number during normal tool usage. We only receive information when you explicitly write to us via our Contact Us form, in which case we only use your email to respond to your specific support ticket.
4. GDPR Compliance (General Data Protection Regulation)
For individuals residing inside the European Economic Area (EEA), we act as a "data controller" for direct inquiry inputs, and you have the following rights:
- The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you (inquiries).
- The right of rectification.
- The right to object to processing.
- The right to withdraw consent.
Since we do not store, control, or possess your uploaded PDFs or electronic signature files, we cannot access, disclose, transfer, or delete them. Closing the browser tab destroys all document data from your active session memory automatically.

Under CCPA, California consumers hold rights to know what categories of data are collected, request deletion, and opt-out of data sales. SignEase does not collect, sell, or rent your document data. Any third-party browser metrics or advertisement cookies are managed in compliance with CCPA guidelines. You can adjust your consent controls via your browser parameters.

SignEase uses cookies to enhance user experience, analyze traffic trends, and serve advertisements. Specifically:
- We display advertisements served by Google AdSense.
